YouTube Channel ID Finder

Turn an @handle, channel link or video link into the channel's ID, uploads playlist ID and RSS feed.

How to use the Channel ID Finder

  1. 01

    Enter the channel

Use an @handle, a channel URL (including old /c/ and /user/ links) or a link to one of the channel's videos.

  2. 02

    Find the ID

Press Find ID. The channel's permanent ID starts with "UC" and is 24 characters long.

  3. 03

    Copy it

Copy the channel ID, the channel URL, the uploads playlist ID or the RSS feed URL.

What a channel ID is for

Handles and custom URLs can change. The channel ID never does, which is why APIs, embeds, analytics tools and RSS readers ask for it.

The uploads playlist ID is the channel ID with "UC" swapped for "UU". It lists every public upload, which is handy for the playlist length calculator or for embedding a channel's latest videos.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a YouTube channel ID?

Paste the channel's @handle, URL or a link to one of its videos into this tool and press Find ID. The ID starting with "UC" is the channel ID.

Can I find my own channel ID?

Yes. Enter your @handle here, or in YouTube go to Settings, then Advanced settings, where your channel ID is listed.

How do I get a channel's RSS feed?

The results include the RSS feed URL. Add it to any feed reader to get new uploads from the channel without a YouTube account.

Why didn't an old /c/ link work?

YouTube has no direct lookup for old custom URLs, so the tool tries the matching @handle and then a search. If it still can't find the channel, use the @handle or a video link instead.
