Striver's Linked List Playlist: study plan and how long it takes

The take U forward playlist is 29 videos and 11.6 hours long. Here's how long it takes at different paces, a week-by-week schedule built from the real videos, and a planner that turns it into your own daily plan.

29 videos · 11.6 hours · take U forward

This take U forward playlist covers singly and doubly linked lists from insertion and deletion to the classic interview problems: reversing, detecting and measuring loops, the intersection of two lists, adding numbers, reversing in k-groups, flattening, sorting and cloning lists with random pointers.

The first video is a launch announcement; the lessons start at video 2.

Who it's for: Students preparing for coding interviews who want to get every standard linked list problem down.

How long does it take?

The full playlist is 11.6 hours across 29 videos. Here's roughly how many days that is at different daily watch times and speeds, counting video time only:

Make your own schedule

The playlist link is already filled in. Press Plan, set how much time you have each day and your speed, and you'll get a day-by-day schedule with a finish date and a calendar file. It reads the live playlist, so new videos are included.

Week-by-week schedule

A sample plan at 1 hour a day and normal speed, using whole videos so none is split across days. That's 2 weeks in total. For a different pace, start date or speed, use the planner above.

Tips for finishing

  • Skip video 1 (the announcement) by ticking it off in the playlist length calculator, and the planner will leave it out.
  • Draw the pointers for every problem. Most linked list bugs are pointer updates done in the wrong order.
